從台灣本土在地遠到美國、德國、南非、中美洲、洪都拉斯、澳洲、西班牙、印度、泰緬、中東、拉丁美洲、墨西哥、奧地利等許多不同異國風情的在地人飲食與產品。以美食和文化產品結合當地元素，讓台灣人接觸與認識異國文化，減少彼此文化上衝擊與誤解。
屬於台灣在地的異國市集讓新住民、外國人和落地生根的新移民族群尋找到家鄉歸屬感融入在地生活和讓許多人主動自願接觸認識異國文化以及在地培養教育下一代，供民眾認識異國文化的多元及活力，增加異國文化產值，透過異國商品販售，異國文化不是無法衡量的價值，而是轉變為有利可圖，自然而然，民眾會自願接觸及了解。加上市集的舉辦匯集各方地方異國產業，吸引民眾的參與、購買，活絡產業，商品要好、更要被人看見多接觸認識異國文化，減少彼此文化上衝擊與誤解。
The purpose of this market is to promote exotic business and let people realize more about exotic culture, helping the new habitants, foreigners and new imigrants find a sense of beloning and immerse themselves in the local life, which will also make them be willing to know more about Taiwan and nurture their children in this land. At the same time, the local people will learn more about the versatility and vitality of exotic culture, whihc will increase the value to exotic cultural industry, and hence the exotic business will become more vigorous.The market has collected businesses from different counries with an aim to drawing people's attention. Good products will have more opportunities to be seen, and thus this will spread exotic cultures and decrease culture shock and misunderstanding.
一年一度高雄聖誕節市集熱鬧登場，今年特別選在愛河畔旁，年末聖誕節是一年中最溫馨的節慶時期，歡樂耶誕市集希望能夠傳遞幸福及溫暖的感覺給所有人，年度聖誕市集特別集合了國際移民日與沿途河堤風光，一走進愛河畔就能感受濃濃的聖誕節氣氛。與民眾分享新年新希望，為2016年畫下完美句點。
The annual Kaohsiung Christmas Market is coming, which will be located at Love River. Christmas is the warmest festival in a year, and the Christmas Market hopes to deliver happiness and warmness to everyone. This market also involves the concept of International Migrants Day. Once people walk by the riverside, they will feel a strong sense of Christmas festival. Let’s share our new year’s resolution and make a perfect ending for 2016.
來到了高雄愛河畔邊，活動現場沿岸附近藝文建設及觀光遊憩資源相當豐富，傍晚欣賞著黃昏河畔風景，體驗午後的悠閒風情，尤其是入夜後的愛河畔皆是柔和的燈光反射河水上，景緻浪漫兼具異國意像，民眾可以在這裡逛市集、約會、散步、談天。
Near the Christmas market, many art zones and tourist attractions can be found. People can relax and walk by the riverside and enjoy the twilight. In the evening, the reflection of light on the Love River is really romantic and exotic, and people will be able to take a stroll, have a date, shop and talk here. This market also promotes exotic industries. It also advocate the concept of carbon reduction, so basically it will not provide electric lighting; the selected shops will need to plan for the decoration of their booth, which shows the style of their own.
高雄輕軌愛河橋：自光榮碼頭英雄路口，跨越愛河後往西至真愛碼頭大義街東側，總長833公尺，愛河主橋長約122公尺是進入愛河的第一座橋，所以又稱為「愛河之窗」，往昔的嘟嘟火車路線，如今已成為環狀輕軌第一階段最重要工程。除中央空間供輕軌列車使用外，橋面北側陳列原有舊鐵路橋，南側是規劃環港人行及自行車道， 可供民眾觀賞舊鐵路橋及欣賞南側海景的絕佳景點，這也是最靠高雄港的一座橋梁，港區輪船等旖旎風光盡收眼底。
Kaohsiung Love River Light Rail Bridge: starting from the intersection of Yingxiong Rd. and Glory Pier, cross Lover River and heading west to the intersection of Love Pier and eastside of Dayi St., 833 meters long. The Love River Main Bridge is about 122 meters long, which is the first bridge into Love River and called “The Window of Love River.” The former Dodo train route has become the most important construction in the first stage of new light rail system. The central space will be the route for new light rail system, the northern part will display old train bridge, and the southern part will be lanes for passengers and bicycles, which will become the best site to enjoy old train bridge and southern seascape. This is also the bridge closest to Kaohsiung Harbor, on where the steamship and amazing scenery can be seen.

經過數多年的整治河川之後現今的愛河，擁有許多美麗的觀光資源，浪漫的愛河經過整治後美景一天比一天燦爛瀰漫，黃昏時的愛河景色迷人，使許多兒童及年輕人在河畔觀看麗緻風景及玩耍嬉戲也有許多老年 人在旁運動，夜間的愛河與黃昏的愛河截然不同，許多年輕情侶來此約會，而現在的愛河和以往的愛河有了許多的差異及改變，重新認識愛河這個美麗的觀光景點。
The Introduction of The Love River
After many years of improvement, the Love River owns many tourism resources now. The romantic Love River has become more and more fascinating, especially in the dusk, when we can find many children and young people enjoying the beautiful senery and having fun; many elders also do exercises here. The Love River in the evening is totally different, which attracts many young couples to date here. All in all, the Love River nowadays has changed a lot. Let's renew our impression toward the Love River.
