SAFECAST bGeigie Nano 工作坊
將於Maker Faire 期間隆重舉行！
我們以最興奮心情跟大家宣佈！第二彈的SAFECAST bGeigie Nano 工作坊將於5月30日舉行。屆時參加者可以親手組裝一台屬於自已的輻射偵測儀，配合互聯網、手機應用程式，便可把你所收集的數據上載到SAFECAST 網站，結成集一個龐大數據庫，讓自已成為監察員，為你所在地區的環境安全也出一分力。
什麼是bGeigie Nano ?
bGeigie Nano 由SAFECAST 設計並裝有輻射偵測儀及記憶卡的行動裝置。每個記錄儀擁有GPS ，參加者可透過工作坊輕鬆掌握組裝整個bGeigie Nano 及利用SAFECAST 網站上載數據到SAFECAST 的資料庫。
每個工作坊指導員及參加者比例為1:3 ，務求讓每個參加者，即使在不懂任何焊接技巧下，也能在工作坊內順利完成組裝整個bGeigie Nano 並帶走使用。指導員將同時教授日常使用、保養bGeigie 技巧。而SAFECAST 網站亦設有討論區，供bGeigie 使用者分享資訊和交流。

如想了解更多有關SAFECAST ,請於5月31日（星期日）出席華山創意園區內 Maker Faire 的 《FUSIONERA 聚變時代》論壇，來自日本SAFECAST 的Joe Moross將參與論壇，並分享他在SAFECAST 的工作。
Joe現時為SAFECAST 擔任數據監察及測量工作， 自2013起以路測方法，行走超過50,000公里SAFECAST記錄不同地段的福射數據，足以環繞地球1圈半。 本身是工程師的Joe，現時以全職義工的身份到不同地方舉辦Safecast 工作坊。
有興趣者亦可於5月30及31日到華山文創園區內Maker Faire(中4B－1) SAFECAST攤位獲取更多資訊。

bGeigie Nano workshop is coming to Taipei during Maker Faire weekend!
We are pleased to announce that we will host our 2nd bGeigie Nano workshop in Taipei on 5/30 (Sat). Participants will learn how to build your own portable radiation detector, so that you can use it to monitor for your daily environment and be part of an open source citizen science initiative that helps to monitor the safety of our living environment.
What is bGeigie Nano? ( From Azby’s post)
The bGeigie Nano is a unique Geiger counter designed by SAFECAST for logging radiation data that can be easily uploaded to our map database. Participants will learn how to build and use a bGeigie Nano, and how to upload data to the SAFECAST database using our API.
We usually have one instructor for every 2 or 3 participants so workshop sizes are limited. No soldering skills are needed – we will teach you how to solder at the beginning of the workshop. Most of our workshop participants to date have been beginners, and everyone has successfully completed building their Nano!

Materials needed: Please bring a laptop if possible, for viewing online documentation and accessing the API.
Minimum age: 13 years and up
Languages: Workshop will be conducted in both Chinese and English.
