The Taipei City Government Department of Economic Development is launching the Foreign Entrepreneur Service Project

On November 30th, we held our first event, and it was very successful. We have learned a lot from the entrepreneurs we met that day, and we look forward to meeting more entrepreneurs at the upcoming event.

Join us for our second event and learn the basics about rules, regulations, and government grants.

Taipei has been praised for its cultural diversity, high quality of living, expanding entrepreneur ecosystem, and great support from the government. However, there are still problems that need to be solved.

During a brainstorming session we hope to learn the issues that are bothering foreign entrepreneurs so we can start to making things even better.

Topic 1. How to Start a Business in Taipei

Speaker: Elias Ek

Swedish national Elias Ek is the author of How to Start a Business in Taiwan. Based on his 16 years as an entrepreneur in Taiwan he will share his knowledge of starting a business.

Topic 2. Taiwan Startup Community and Investor Searches

Speaker: Steve Hsu

Want to meet more investors? Want to join English events in Taiwan? Come and meet the expert of the local and international startup systems in Taiwan.

Topic 3. Two successful entrepreneurs sharing their point of view of running a business in Taiwan

Listen to the stories of successful foreign entrepreneurs, and take the chance to share yours with them.

Topic 4. Thirty seconds to shine

Every entrepreneur gets 30 seconds to introduce themselves. Let's discover more connections and make more friends in Taipei .

Topic 5. Taipei City Government Grants and Subsidies

Get an overview of Taipei City Government grants and subsidies to help you grow your business. Meet the expert working with the Taipei City Government that can help you through the application process.

There’s more- first time ever in English- some case studies including R&D, new startup, brand subsidies will be introduced, and a tutorial will be presented. Let’s learn together with the master who helped hundreds of companies every year to get the grants!

Topic 6. How can Taipei be more friendly to foreign entrepreneurs?

Are you bothered by the Taiwanese rules? Are you rejected by the bank even if you speak Mandarin?

The Taipei Government wants to know the problems you face. Join us to brainstorm about the issues related to rules, laws, banks, telecoms, visas or anything else that is interfering with you growing your business in Taipei.
