When you think of Dadaocheng, you probably think of a few main themes, such as history, tea, Chinese medicine, night markets, or architecture. Few would think of this historic neighborhood as a center of technology. And yet, from QR codes to iBeacons, official websites to social media, hackathons to crowdfunding, Dadaocheng is an unlikely champion of modern tech and startup culture.

On December 5,  Love, Dadaocheng  and CAMPOBAG  are bringing together leaders from Ningxia Night Market, the Xia-Hai City God Temple, and CAMPOBAG to share how these organizations are leveraging modern technologies to reach the smartphone generation. We’ll also hear from Olive Lee of Evernote on what it’s like for a tech company to be based in such an unlikely location, and finish up with a happy hour and open discussion about how startups can thrive by setting up shop in traditional communities rather than isolating themselves within startup communities. 一個台北古城愛上科技的故事

「大稻埕」這三個字會讓你想起什麼呢？歷史、茶、中藥、夜市、老房子⋯⋯那科技呢？很少人將「大稻埕」這個地方跟「高科技」三個字聯想在一起，但是舉凡 QR code、iBeacon、新型網站及社群媒體的建置、甚至還有最近正夯的 Hackathon 駭客馬拉松、群眾募資，都在這裡發生了－大稻埕對於現代科技和創業文化的支持，似乎是超乎大家想像的給力啊！

想知道大稻埕和科技新創還擦出了什麼樣的火花嗎？12月5日週五晚上，「愛，大稻埕」與CAMPOBAG 聯合邀請了本土在地的寧夏夜市、台北霞海城隍廟以及CAMPOBAG希嘉文化，來分享他們如何應用科技來吸引智慧型手機盛行的新世代，而Evernote Taiwan的李宛璇則會向大家分享全球知名科技公司進駐大稻埕歷史老城區的經營之道。最後，我們會有 Happy hour，也開放時間讓大家討論－科技新創公司如何在傳統社區中開店起家、而不是在新創圈子裡遺世獨立和閉門造車。空下時間吧！我們期待你到場來聽故事、聽聽你的想法！
