Dave McClure is one of the most prolific forces in tech today as the founding partner at 500 Startups, an internet startup seed fund and incubator program based in Mountain View, CA. He likes to hang out with entrepreneurs and occasionally help or invest in their startups, if they are foolish enough to let him. Dave has been geeking out in Silicon Valley for over 20 years, and has worked with companies such as PayPal, Mint, Founders Fund, Facebook, LinkedIn, SlideShare, Twilio, Simply Hired, O’Reilly Media, Intel and Microsoft. Dave is also the founder of Startup2Startup, a monthly dinner series for Silicon Valley startup entrepreneurs and investors. He has been a conference organizer for many tech and startup events, including PreMoney, Warm Gun: Designing Happiness, Weapons of Mass Distribution (WMD), Commercism, Inbox Love, The Lean Startup SXSW, STARTonomics, Graphing Social Patterns, and Web 2.0 Expo (SF). He is also the founder of Geeks On a Plane, which offers invite-only tours of high-growth technology markets worldwide.
